From a very young age, Maddy surprised her parents with her musical ear. By the age of six she would play songs by ear on the recorder after hearing a song a few times. Her parents put her into piano lessons, which she did not enjoy at first, but later they had trouble getting her off of it to do school work. Her piano training consisted of mainly classical with some occasional jazz and blues included. By the age of 11 she was into musical theatre and the singing led her to teach herself how to play the piano and sing at the same time. At the age of 14 she started taking singing lessons at the Real School of Music, in Burlington, which she now calls her second home. Maddy now preforms all the time, singing while accompanying herself on either guitar or piano, and hopes to continue pursuing her musical career.
